Dave Owens FP 202

My name is Dave Owens and I fly a classic fisher 202, built in the mid 80's so I'm told. I'm down in southern California, I traded to this plane from a guy who bought it on Ebay and had it shipped from  NY. Before that I was flying a Quicksilver MX. I am a low time pilot and never had taildragger time. I was a little afraid of this plane being uneducated about this type and model of plane. I almost gave up on it when I met some people who loaded me up with conversation on how to taxi a tail dragger. I quickly capitalized on the new information and began to taxi this plane correctly. Soon after that I was flying this beautiful plane. It felt like a long road to get there but really it took 2 months of safety checks (fear proofing) on this plane and under a week to get a grip on this aircraft. I have been steadily improving on the plane and My piloting skills ever since. I have owned it for 3 months but the last month has been the greatest now that I'm flying it. I am very pleased so far with this little flyer and you sure can't beat the classic looks. It really knows how to take care of the new guy and makes me look good every time. As far as I can tell it is completely stock to the original design using the Rotax 277 I did replace the landing gear to the new design because the guy I got it from damaged it during a taxi test. I have included some photos.....Thanks fisher for a great little plane...  Email address: daveo77@hotmail.com
