Ron West's Koala 202

This is the photo of my koala 202 standing at royal Newcastle aero club field at Rutherford. west of Newcastle NSW Australia. I have just been to your web sight for the first time and find it very interesting. I thought I let you know that I fly a 202 fitted with a jabiru 1600 engine and it flies very nice. it is 3 kilos heaver than the rotax 477 that I took out. and balanced the extra weight by putting the battery back behind the parcel tray It cruises at 60 knots at 2400 rpm and uses just over 5ltrs per hour, and has made a very nice aircraft not that it was bad before it has just done away with the noisy two stroke up front. It is a very quiet air craft now. I have had this plane for fourteen years now , the last couple with this engine in it. I belong to the Newcastle Windsock flying Club, that is the oldest Ultralight flying club in Australia. As I'm only new to computer's I'll learn to attach a photo of my aircraft to the next EMail I send to you. By the way I have been flying ultralights since 1976. and had a great time doing it.
From a very happy koala 202 flyer
